Alumni Notes

Class of 1953

Raymond Kosiba and Pat (Hannan) Kosiba celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on November 25, 2004. Ray and Pat first met at a social gathering at St. Mary Church.


Class of 1998

Eric Himburg and Heather (Pounds) Himburg currently reside in Durham, North Carolina. Heather recently received her doctorate in biomedical engineering and Eric teaches science at Cary Academy.


Class of 1999

Scott Polen and Beth (Kiser) Polen are the proud parents of Emma Rose, born August 25, 2002. Scott teaches world cultures and Japanese language and Beth is a technical editor. They reside in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.

Kevin Dineen will be graduating from the University of Cincinnati School of Law in May, 2005 and will be working for Cors & Bassett, LLC practicing corporate and business law.


Class of 2000

Michael Roman graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in Applied Medical Anthropology with a focus on HIV/AIDS in the Central Pacific Island Nations.


Class of 2001

Joe Schmidt received master’s degrees from Ohio State University in city & regional planning and public policy & management. He is now a planner for the State of Ohio Emergency Management Agency.


Class of 2002

Jeff Vlasek graduated from Cleveland State University in May with a masters in creative writing. He is currently a first year law student at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa.

Class of 2004

Katie Gunsch is working for the architecture firm D’Agostino Izzo in Boston, Massachusetts.

Lina Gudenas is serving a one-year commitment with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. She is working with the Innocence Project in New Orleans, Louisianna.

Meghan Buckner is serving a one-year commitment with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. She is an employment assistant for Pathways, a women’s and children’s shelter.
